Why I Cannot Vote For Trump (or remain a Republican)

I cannot vote for Donald Trump. I cannot abandon #NeverTrump.

It's not because Trump is a pathological liar. It's not because he is so arrogant he makes Barrack Obama seem humble. It's not because he stole millions of dollars from students of his bogus university. It's not because he tried to use his political influence to evict an elderly woman from her home against her will so he could build a limousine parking lot for his casino.

It's not because he screwed American workers by using illegals to clear land for Trump Tower. It's not because he screwed American workers by ignoring nearly 300 American applicants for his Florida hotel, choosing instead to hire illegals and then lied by claiming Americans didn't want the jobs. It's not because he screwed American workers by having his apparel line made in Mexico and China.

It's not because of his unscrupulous business practices, despite the fact others like Sam Walton and Mitt Romney were extremely successful in business without dishonesty.

I cannot vote for Donald Trump because he is everything Democrats have falsely accused Republicans of being for decades. Democrats love to call Republicans racist, even declaring that electing Republicans would take the country back to Jim Crow laws. This despite is was Democrats who supported slavery. This despite it was Democrats who spawned the Klu Klux Klan. This despite it was Democrats who passed the Jim Crow laws. This despite it was many Democrats who opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and LBJ had to rely on Republicans to get the landmark legislation passes.

So much for the Republicans Are Racist myth.

Democrats claim Republicans are the party of millionaires and billionaires, so the Republicans nominate a truth-challenged billionaire for President, while it is Democrats like Hillary Clinton who are up to their armpits with Wall Street, hedge fund and George Soros money,.

I don't know if Trump is a racist, but he damn sure is a bigot, and that is just as bad. I do not ever want some Democrat saying that I voted for a bigot and possibly a racist for President. I do not want a Democrat ever saying to me I voted for a lying, dishonest multi-billionaire. I do not ever want a Democrat reminding me that I called Obama arrogant, then supported someone with considerably more arrogance.

I do not want decades of Democrat lies being validated by one jerk who lied his way to the nomination. That will happen if Trump wins, but I damn sure will not take any responsibility for that, because I'm not voting for the a-hole.

True, Hillary is just as bad. I'll never vote for her either. I am going against advice I give every time there is an election, that someone is going to win, so be a part of the decision-making process, even if that means voting for the lesser of two evils.

I don't know which of these two evil people are the lesser of the other. From where I sit, there's not a dime's worth of difference between them.

Which brings me to the GOP. Despite controlling both sides of congress, they failed to impeach Obama. He is clearly guilty of several impeachable offenses, not the least of which is treason. Then they nominate a New York liberal Democrat for President.

I'm sorry, but I am a conservative, and there is no room for me in this election. I am a man without a candidate and without a party.
