Hate Trump, Hate Trump, Hate Trump

The verbal pollution spewing forth from the left has the absurd meter pegging in the red. All they can talk about now is what President Trump didn't say Saturday. Concerning Charlottesville, Trump said, "We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence on many sides."

That pretty much handles it, but the left is bent out of shape because Trump didn't call out white supremacists by name.

Yes, Trump could have condemned white supremacists specifically, but the truth is no matter what Trump says or does, the crybabies would still whine. All of their blubber covers up the fact that Trump is actually doing a pretty good job. Which is their intention.

The story is a bunch of thugs and criminals violently rioting. In a small town where law enforcement has zero experience handling such situations. The hand-to-hand combat in the streets was beyond vicious. People died there. But all the left can think about are specific words Trump didn't use Saturday. What the President actually said covered it all, but it doesn't matter what he says.

Hate Trump, Hate Trump, Hate Trump.

Then there is that little round child-dictator in North Korea. He has been testing nukes and missiles for some time now. He is threatening Guam. But finally, we have a President who has a pair. Trump doesn't take any crap from anybody, especially from some second-world tin-pot dictator. Trump is talking tough about Kim Jong-un and is not backing down. In fact, he is doubling down.

This has put the left in complete cardiac arrest. OMG - he's going to start a war!

Well hopefully not, and Trump doesn't want to. But 30 years of coddling North Korea by Democrats and Republicans has resulted in zero progress. Except the Democrats gave them nuclear capability. (Hello, Iran)

It is time for the buck to stop, and it's stopping on Donald Trump's desk. It's time to put up or shut up for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. China holds to key to keeping Kim Jong-un from making a huge mistake. Otherwise he is a dead man.

Karl Rove is Wrong. Again...

This may be the most important part of your day. OK, maybe not.

And now to politics…

That blowhard Karl Rove is going around saying he agrees with Mitch McConnell in his bickering with President Trump. Rove thinks repeal and replacement of Obamacare is complicated and takes time. Apparently a lot of time. Of course Rove, despite living in Texas, is the prototypical Washington insider. Which means he is part of the problem.

On the other hand, Trump says they had seven years to come up with repeal and replace, and it should have been on his desk ready to sign on day one. Of course Trump is right. McConnell is making the Republicans look like a bunch of clueless asses.

The Democrat Party is in a death spiral and digging themselves deeper every day. The party is in complete disarray. Republican voters are mostly in line, but congress, where the GOP holds both majorities, is a train wreck.

The Democrat Party has become a statist party. Congressional Democrats will almost always do what Chuckie Schumer and Stretch Pelosi tells them to do. Republicans, not so much.

Republicans tend to think for themselves. They use logic, reason and common sense to form their opinions. And they don’t always agree with each other. That is where leadership comes in, and the Senate has none. Mitch McConnell loves being a career politician and being in the middle of all the attention. But he is no leader. If Senate Republicans don’t toss McConnell soon, the 2018 elections look bleak and they’ll hand Democrats a get out of jail free card.

And that is not acceptable.

Obama's broken campaign promises

Democrats and RHINO'S are delighting in Donald Trump not fulfilling his campaign promises in 100 days. Never mind his term is 1,461 days long. Or that Trump is not a politician, which is what most Americans wanted. He didn't do it in 100 days so dammit, he is a total failure.

Tom Perez, the DNC Head Thug, has taken to profanity to describe Trump's initial mini-budget. Umm..... Barrack Obama was 98 days late with his first budget. Three of his first four budgets were late. The deadline is determined by The Budget and Accounting Act of 1921.

I thought it would be fun to revisit some of media darling Obama's 2008 campaign promises. And remember, Obama was an experienced politician...

• Candidate Obama promised that he would not be swayed by the influence of special interests and Super PACs. But when it was re-election time in 2012, Obama embraced special interests and SuperPacs.

• Candidate Obama promised to close GITMO within one year. Despite Democrat control of both houses of congress, that did not happen. GITMO is still open today.

• Candidate Obama promised to undue George W. Busch's tax cuts. But he extended the tax cuts so he could extend unemployment benefits, because he could not get people back to work.

• Candidate Obama promised to set a cap on carbon emissions to combat alleged "global warming." Obama walked away from cap-and-trade when it failed to pass in the Democrat-controlled congress.

• Candidate Obama promised no new taxes for families making under $250,000. 16 days into his presidency, Obama raised the tax on cigarettes, thereby raising taxes on every smoker making less than $250,000 a year.

• Candidate Obama promised to return man to the moon by 2020, then to Mars. The space shuttle program was shut down in 2011, and plans are still not in place to return to the moon or go to Mars.

• Candidate Obama promised that all employees would get seven federally guaranteed sick days a year. In Obama's first year. The Healthy Families Act was stalled in committee. Again, Democrats controlled both houses of congress.

• Candidate Obama promised to introduce a comprehensive immigration plan by the end of his first year in office. Despite being a "top priority," Obama introduced no such bill in that year.

• Candidate Obama promised to post every bill online for five days before he signed it. That never happened. In fact, Obamacare had to be passed before we could know what was in the bill.

Trust me. There are many, many more. So the next time some whiny liberal talks to you about President Trump's "broken" campaign promises, learn that person a little history.

Trump Tax Protesters Lead With Ignorance

What I saw this past weekend were a bunch of ignorant people clamoring for President Trump to release his tax returns. Why?

I doubt many of these people even know what they're talking about. They all repeat the talking point that they want to know where Trump gets his money from. Code: Must be Putin. They seem to think some tax returns would show them that. All a tax return will tell them is where Trump got money for that particular year, how much he made (or lost) and how much he paid in taxes. He is under no legal requirement to release his tax returns, He defeated a lying, corrupt, felon without doing so.

I seriously doubt the snowflakes would know how to read Trump's entire tax return even if they saw it. What their true agenda is to harass Trump, who they hate with every fiber of their being. Democrats are under some delusion that they can force Trump to resign. One loudmouth congressional representative from California wants to impeach trump. Now. On what charge, who knows. Ms. Waters kept her mouth shut when President Obama released POW's to the battlefield so they could kill more Americans and our allies. That is called treason and the penalty for treason is death. But it was Obama, so that was OK.

If the left really wanted to know where Trump gets his money, they would look at his financial disclosure, which is required to be filed.  I did look. It is 109 pages long. It tells where Trump gets his money from, and who he owes. If you read it, you'll know what he owns. What makes more money, his hotels or his golf courses? The financial disclosure will tell you. That's why they are required and sharing tax returns are not

Everything you want to know about Donald Trump's financials are in there. But that's not what the left is interested in. Their naive protests this past weekend proved it.

P.S. Nancy Pelosi is telling people we need to see Trump's tax return so we know who he owes. Umm..... you won't find that on a tax return. But it's all laid out on his financial disclosure. Don't fall for Pelosi's lies...

Bugging Trump: Again the media is missing the mark

President Trump blasted a tweet Saturday morning accusing Barack Obama of bugging Trump in Trump Tower. This is a very strong statement. If true, this would blow past Watergate for presidential corruption. That scandal brought down the presidency of Richard Nixon.

Of course the media has jumped all over this. That is what they're supposed to do. But much of the media attention is focused on how outrageous Trump's claim is. Real reporters would be investigating the accusation to determine if it's true or not. That cannot be completed in a weekend.  It would involve actual work, which many in the media try to avoid. Yes, there are a handful of reporters who are digging to find the truth, but the overall message from the media is outrage at such an insane allegation.

Real reporting is dying a slow, agonizing death.

Of course the overwhelming anti-Trump bias of the media is driving this diversion. Edward R. Murrow is spinning in his grave.

Trump said he'd run the country as a business, and he is!

Politicians running for office too often say whatever you want to hear. All many of them care about at that time is getting elected or re-elected. I once ran for office against someone like that. I knew this person and I knew his politics. But once we hit the trail, he suddenly changed. Some of his new positions were 180° opposite of what he really believed. So one day I asked him what was up with his new positions. He said he had taken advice from a career bureaucrat, whom I also knew. The advice was he can't change the world if he doesn't get elected, and he was willing to lie to the voters to get there. That just wasn't my style.

Americans were getting tired of the crap in Washington. Barrack Obama was a continuous train wreck. Republicans ran several good candidates for President, but voters had become so jaded, they all appeared alike to them. And then there was Donald Trump.

The Donald was a successful businessman and not a politician. As a developer, he had a reputation for getting things done.

BINGO!

He was what Americans were waiting for. Not a politician, Trump was a successful businessman, experienced in running a large, prosperous organization. Including running it efficiently, without excessive waste. I spent 10 years working for a municipal government, and trust me, waste is embedded in all levels of government.

Trump wants to Make America Great Again. Not losing jobs to other countries. Not strangling businesses with excessive regulations. Repair our healthcare system that Democrats destroyed. No more throwing away money at the man-made climate change hoax. Get people good full-time jobs, not low-paying part-time jobs that had become so common. Stop the corruption and stop bypassing congress and issuing illegal executive orders,

In other words, drain the swamp.

Expect Trump to be quick and decisive. Don't look for him to telegraph his moves. He is a businessman and will act like one, so much as government allows. Businessmen get rid of cancers, so disloyal employees better get their resumes updated. It's no different than being a head coach of a professional sports team. If any players are not supportive of the coach, they have to go.

This is what the voters wanted. And it's what they are getting.

Liberal media wanted Trump to investigate, so he's gonna do it and liberal heads explode

It is commonly known that the overwhelming majority of voter fraud is propagated by the Democrat Party. They must not believe they can win elections fair and square. The Project Veritas videos and John Podesta leaving his emails unguarded was an eye-opener to those who were still skeptical of Democrat cheating.

Running up to the election, there were some governors and mayors who encouraged illegal aliens, who are not U.S. citizens, to vote. These governors and mayors were all far left-wing progressives who have no respect for the rule of law. 2016 was not the first election in which illegals voted.

According to a study by Old Dominion University professors Jesse Richman and David Earnest, up to 2.8 million non-citizens voted in the 2008 presidential election. This study was published in 2014 in the Electoral Studies journal.

According to The Daily Caller, Harvard political scientist Stephen Ansolabehere said "the likely percent of non-citizen voters in recent U.S. elections is zero."

This guy must be on heroin. Zero? Really? Remember, this is the esteemed institution that employs fake Indian Elizabeth Warren. Harvard is a volcano of kooks.

Then, just before the 2016 election, Virginia Democrat Governor Terry McAuliffe released 60,000 felons from prison and restored their right to vote. Hillary Clinton handily won the state.

Donald Trump easily won the election, although Hillary had more raw votes. California alone gave Hillary the raw vote win. That is why there is an Electoral College. So during Trump's second full day, the liberal media climbed all over spokesman Sean Spicer about Trump's claim that a few million non-citizens voted in the election. They asked why the President isn't trying to prove his comment, which the liberals do not believe.

So Trump said he will investigate and determine how many illegal votes were cast. So now Democrats are whining about how the election is state-controlled, and Trump has no jurisdiction. Never mind that on his way out the door, Barrack Obama illegally federalized the Presidential election.

Of course states that encouraged illegals to vote aren't going to investigate illegals and other non-citizens voting. The lawless Democrat governors of those states do not believe they did anything wrong. After all, Democrats must win elections!

In order to root these problems out, the feds must go in and determine what happened in the latest election. Cheaters are very opposed to this. The left doesn't want the truth to come out. That is why this must be investigated.

Once again, a tax return does not tell you how much a person is worth

I saw a peabrain named John Thomas on CNN last night. I know, I know. I was watching the fake news channel. Thomas was asked if he thought President Trump would release his tax return. Thomas said he didn't think so, and added there may be something Trump is trying to hide, such as maybe he's not worth as much as he says he is.

This burns my gears whenever I hear this. Once again, a tax return will not tell you what a person is worth. I have an accounting degree and have worked as a tax accountant. Please tell me the form and line that tells what a person is worth. 

A tax return tells you how much money a person made or lost in a given year, and where the income came from. And you can be pretty damn certain Trump's return is extremely complicated. I shiver to think how a typical reporter, who is required to have no education, would try to tell us what Trump's return says. I would only trust a highly competent tax attorney to tell me what the President's return says.

Of course the fake news dishonest media won't tell you that. These people are so ignorant they think a tax return reveals how much a person is worth.

Exposing tax returns is not a requirement for running for President, but filing financial disclosures is. Trump has filed his financial disclosures as required by law, and that is where you can get an idea what he is worth. Having worked several years in the media, I am certain the typical reporter or talking head would have no clue how to correctly interpret those forms.

Of course the media has no problem reporting fake news...

Democrats Still Don't Get It

Donald J. Trump is now President of the United States. So what's next for the Democrat party? Do they bounce back as political parties inevitably do, or does the party disappear into history? This is a valid question based on the decimation of the party during the Obama Administration and Democrat's reaction to their massive defeats.

Leading Democrats think Trump's victory was a fluke. They have produced all kinds of crazy excuses as to why Hillary Clinton lost. The latest justification is that the Russians somehow helped Trump get elected.

Democrats spend much time separated from reality. What about reports that Hillary was helped by Ukraine and German Chancellor Angela Merkel? I guess it's only bad if it helps Republicans.

The first obvious reason for Trump's win is the fact that Hillary is a lying, corrupt criminal. John Podesta made the password for his email "password." Yes, the man responsible for running Hillary's campaign is really that stupid. Half of the planet probably hacked his emails, so nobody knows who WikiLeaks got his emails from. What matters is that emails were exposed, they were accurate, and they proved many things, including corruption by both Hillary and the media.

Another reason for Trump's win was the complete and total failure and corruption of the Obama administration. Working-class Americans (that's most of us), were sick and tired of failed liberal crap. Obamacare took away meaningful health insurance coverage for millions of Americans, created the 29-hour workweek for million of Americans, drastically reducing their pay, and cost Americans their doctors and insurance plans, things Obama said would not happen.

Obama's Attorneys General were corrupt. He released POW's so they could return to the battlefield to kill Americans and our allies. And the list goes on and on and on. Americans down on the farm, the factories and the unemployed had had enough.

Another failure of the left was sticking to their tried and true strategy: identity politics. Blacks will vote for the Democrat. Hispanics will vote for the Democrat. Jews will vote for the Democrat. People in Midwest industrial states like Michigan and Wisconsin will vote for the Democrat. So Hillary ignored all of these people. Mistake. Instead, the Democrats focused on women and Florida, and to hell with everyone else.

Just to be sure, Hillary spent over $1 billion to get herself elected. After all, in politics money equals win.

Hold the phone.

Social media is where it's at these days. And that doesn't take dump trucks full of money. Social media takes expertise. And Trump followed the traditional Republican approach. Help all people, not buckets full of people. Times are changing, and Democrats are getting left behind.

So you're thinking, change! That would be the smart thing to do, and there are Democrats who get it. But they have been pushed down by the elites and remain a powerless minority. Such as Ohio's Tim Ryan. Democrats missed a huge opportunity when they failed to make Ryan their House leader.

Instead, they re-elected 76-year-old Nancy Pelosi, who usually sounds like she is in need of a dementia test. She is in complete denial. She believes Trump's win was a fluke assisted by the Russians. Or James Comey. Or Wikileaks. Or fake news. Or trash publications at checkout lines. The Electoral College (everyone knew the rules going in. They haven't changed since 1788). Or whatever lame excuse the left can come up with.

But there is a problem with all of those excuses. It wasn't just Hillary. Democrats got slaughtered all over the country. Liberalism and socialism, the fundamental beliefs of the Democrat Party, have failed worldwide whenever it has been tried. Barrack Obama is a classic example of why liberalism and socialism does not fit under our Constitution. Countless times Obama took the lazy way out and bypassed congress to make laws himself. That is what dictators do. Fortunately, most of that will be undone this week. Our Constitution will be followed.

In recent years, Democrats have lost both houses of congress, the oval office, 1000 state legislative seats and 12 governorship's. 68 of the nation's 98 partisan state legislatures are Republican. So tell me again about the Russians.

So the left has responded to this with riots. They're burning cars and smashing windows. Madonna said she is seriously thinking about burning down the White House. Would that mean Trump would no longer be President? Yes, people are that stupid.

So the Democrat Party will cling to their identity politics, their elites and their mobs. R.I.P.

Sports Broadcasts and Awards Shows No Place For Politics

ESPN is hemorrhaging potential viewers. Big time. They have lost millions of potential viewers in 2016. More and more people are cutting the cord and using streaming services for their TV reception. And ESPN isn't necessarily on everyone's must-see TV.

This hits ESPN right where it hurts. In the pocket book. Fewer viewers means lower advertising rates. Networks generally give advertisers a guarantee of a minimum number of viewers. Miss that mark, and the advertiser gets a partial refund. That is not good for ESPN.

Despite the loss of potential viewers, ESPN continues to annoy half of their audience with left-wing political comments during sports broadcasts. Those comments are generally accepted by ESPN management. But if someone utters a conservative comment, there is a good chance a suspension or firing will follow.

Now when I turn on a ballgame, I want it to be an escape from real world problems. I don't to hear about politics. I deal with politics every day, and a ballgame is supposed to be entertainment. I want to focus on touchdowns, tackles, hits RBI's or whatever is applicable to what I'm watching. No politics.

Then there is the obnoxious Hollywood Left. They somehow believe that since they're famous actors, they are qualified to teach us about politics.

We saw a perfect example of this last week. The Golden Globes is an awards show for movies and television. My wife likes to see the outfits. Meryl Streep was given a Lifetime Achievement Award, which she richly deserves. When accepting the award, Streep unloaded a lengthy hate filled rant against Donald Trump. She obviously preferred the other candidate, a lying, corrupt criminal.

Now I never use Streep as my political analyst, so I don't know why I would care about her misinformed opinions. But she used receiving the prestigious award to spew her personal political beliefs, She even called the millionaires victims. That's when I turned it off.

Just like ballgames, Hollywood awards shows are not appropriate for political speech. When politics seeps into ballgames or Hollywood awards shows, I change the channel.

History is history. It is not 2017

John Lewis

Georgia congressman John Lewis stirred up a hullabaloo when he said Donald Trump would not be a legitimate President.

This is a United States congressman! Now I understand Lewis is a liberal and no fan of Trump. I am a conservative and am no fan of Barrack Obama. I opposed Obama whenever I felt he was wrong, which has been most of the time. This is how politics is done in America. But Obama is my President. Any cheating aside, Obama was legally elected. Conservatives didn't need safe spaces or counselors. We didn't cry and claim Obama wasn't legitimate. We lost an election.  We sucked it up and moved on.

The left in this country has been in a nonstop hissy fit ever since the lying, corrupt and criminal Hillary Clinton lost. Apparently Democrats feel entitled to permanent rule. Not sure why that would be. One party has never been entitled to permanent power. FDR (a Democrat) tried, but the 22nd amendment was passed in 1947, limiting the President to two terms.

Barack Obama hates the 22nd amendment.

The Hollywood left, the MSM media and all of the other crybabies out there need to get over themselves. You didn't get your way. So what? You're not always going to get your way in life, so you better learn to deal with that. You are making complete asses of yourselves.

But for a well-respected congressman of 30 years to say the President will not be legitimate is just childish. Lewis sets a bad example for all Americans, including our youth. John Lewis should be ashamed of himself. He obviously has the right to not like Trump, and to fight against him. But for crying out loud, grow the hell up.

Lewis has very selective rage. There are now reports that Ukraine helped Hillary. Fake news? I havo no idea. I don't hear Lewis whining about that. We know Obama tried to keep Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu from being re-elected. Not a word from John Lewis. That is because he is a left-wing hack.

Now because Lewis has a commendable history fighting for equal rights, Democrats and the MSM think this gets him a lifetime pass from criticism. I think not. His history is good, but this is 2017. His refusal to accept Donald Trump as our legitimate President really makes him unfit to serve in congress. It is time for Lewis to go home to his crime-ridden district and retire.

Confirmation Hearings Not The Place To Shout Protests

A friend of mine asked the other day on Facebook why people destroy neighborhoods in fear that Donald Trump will destroy their neighborhoods. That's a good question. Several folks gave good, thoughtful answers. But when you get right down to it, these people lack the intelligence to know what is really going on. They rely on hearsay as well as the corrupt media. But sometimes, they are right.

I am watching the Senate Confirmation Hearing for Attorney General Designate Jeff Sessions. Several people have had to be removed by Capital Police because they started screaming protests during the hearing. Why would they do this?

Their screaming persuaded no one. The First Amendment does not give you the right to express yourself anywhere at anytime. Such as in a Senate Confirmation Hearing. That is why the people disrupting the hearing were forcibly removed from the room. I presume they do not possess the written communication skills to write a thoughtful, attentive letter to members of the committee. They should have paid closer attention in school.

Let me give you an example. Many years ago, while I lived in Florida, a powerful state senator wanted to get a government project built in his district. I knew that senator well, so my stink-meter started pegging in the red. The local politicians and media made a big deal of this project. It was a "sure thing."

I did some investigating, and discovered that senator owned the property in question. He donated it to the state for the project. Why? Because he also owned a large amount of property surrounding that site. Further investigation showed that the senator planned to develop that property based on the presence of the government project.

He put the project into the state budget because he planned on profiting from the government project. That is a clear violation of Florida ethics laws.

Now I could have gone to Tallahassee and shouted in a budget hearing. Not my style, but I could have done so. Had I done that, the project would have been built and the senator would have received his ill-gotten gains.

Instead, I sent a note to Governor Jeb Bush, explaining the entire situation, including who the senator was, whom he knew very well. Then there was a delay in the Governor signing the state budget. Bush was investigating my story.

Then finally, Jeb signed the budget and it was released to the public. He had line-item vetoed the project out of the budget! Jaws dropped in my town. The mayor was on TV completely at a loss as to why the project was vetoed. A few days later, Governor Bush sent me a note thanking me for my investigation and letting him know. The project eventually went to another city. No one in town knew that I was the one who sank their project.

THAT is how you get things done. Not by making as ass of yourself in a government hearing.

So what exactly did the Russians supposedly do?

Hillary Clinton will never take responsibility for losing the election. She has and will continue to blame everyone under the sun for her losing, because dammit, she's supposed to be President. She won't consider her lies, massive corruption, her lack of trustworthiness, her outdated, failed liberal proposals, pay for play, perjuring herself before congress and a bevy of other faults she has. It had to be somebody else.

The latest target: Vladimir Putin. The CIA states Russia did indeed interfere with our election. But how? Details and proof have not been divulged.

Progressive kook Jill Stein thinks floppy disks were inserted into voting machines, changing votes.

Did she say floppy disks? Hello Jill, this is 1990 calling. I'm pretty certain there wasn't any Russians going from polling place to polling place inserting a floppy disk into the voting machines. Where in the hell would you insert it? Is this like hacking gas pumps?

So just what supposedly happened? Putin says he had nothing to do with it. OK, maybe he's not the most honest witness. Are the liberals talking about the emails? Julian Assange swears Russia was not the source of the emails. It was a DNC member in Washington. Assange does not have a history of equivocating. Are we going to get sucked into World War III because of Hillary Clinton?

The biggest problem for the left is that the emails are true. We, the American Voter, are entitled to know these things. If Hillary wanted to win, she shouldn't have been so corrupt. She shouldn't have lied so much. She shouldn't have perjured herself before congress, and have a party afterword to boot. She shouldn't have had an unsecured server in her basement, then sent and received classified information through that server. She shouldn't have had a career of failure dating back to her firing from the Watergate Committee because of dishonesty. She shouldn't have shared classified information with unauthorized personnel.  She should have campaigned in the blue collar states in the middle of the country that were assumed to be blue. Blah blah blah...

The Russians had nothing to do with any of this. Hillary lost because she was a bad, corrupt candidate. She lost to a candidate who out-hustled her. Donald Trump understands how the farmer in Wisconsin and the factory worker in Michigan are being crushed by President Obama. Hillary is an elitist who thinks she is entitled to be President.

Well, no she's not.

Yes, I am concerned if a foreign country is meddling in our elections, just like Israel was pissed when Obama meddled in theirs. But the most corrupt administration in U.S. history claims Russia somehow interfered with our election, but show no proof. Obama originally said Russia was not involved in our election, now he claims they were.

My B.S. meter is pegging in the red.

Why our Presidential Elections aren't majority rules

I've been watching all the silly protesting going on today in the various state capitals around the country. Arrogant self-entitled Democrats continue to whine about President-Elect Trump. The nation is doomed. Michelle Obama told Oprah Winfrey we have no hope.

We have had no hope for the past eight years. We were told that elections have consequences, and Obama won. He was unable to work with Republicans in the congress, so his lack of leadership forced him to become a dictator and rule via executive order, often illegally. President Obama released POW's back to the battlefield so they can kill more Americans as well as our allies. The word for that is "treason."

The past eight years have been the most troubling and frightening time in my 55 years on this rock. It is time for a results-oriented government, not a government where the primary objective is to implement a political ideology.

I saw one guy on the tube today screaming that they are disenfranchised, and the candidate with the most votes should be the winner. Been hearing that a lot lately, and it is about the most stupid, half-witted thing to say. If the most votes decided the winner, California, New York and Illinois would always decide who is President. If I were a lefty, I'd love that, because those states are hopelessly liberal.

We are not a democracy. We are a democratic-republic. Here's why:

A pure democracy is majority rules, which is often referred to as mob rule. Let's say we have three people, Andy, Bob and Carl. They are hopelessly stranded on a mountain in a massive blizzard. They have no way of communicating out. No phones, no two-way radios, nothing. After a couple of days, it occurs to them that they will die of starvation because they ran out of food, and still no hope of being rescued.

They decide that one of them will have to die so the other two can eat him. Carl says he and Bob should eat Andy. "Oh no," shouts Andy. "We should eat Carl." So the three of them voted. Andy voted to eat Carl. Bob jumped in and said yes, we'll eat Carl. Carl voted that Andy be eaten.

So it was 2-1 that Carl be eaten. So Andy and Bob killed Carl and ate him.

Do you see the problem here? Do you see why this doesn't work? The mob decided that Carl was to be eaten, so he was killed. Sucks to be Carl.

If the President was determined with mob rule, the same three liberal states would always determine who the President will be. The other 47 states will have no say whatsoever. Hence the President would always be a Democrat.

Not going to happen.

Perhaps the most incredible thing is these liberal kooks think a lying, corrupt criminal who gave away state secrets and perjured herself before congress would be preferred over Trump. Really? Me thinks many of these people have their heads stuck up their a#@%$.

Keep the Electoral Voters, Bag the Electors

The elitists on the left are too arrogant to accept defeat. They cannot believe there are people, lots of people, who believe differently than they do. So they call us all sorts of nasty names. Typical Democrat playbook.

So now they're trying to somehow defeat Donald Trump in the Electoral College vote on Monday.

They are inundating Republican Electors with mountains of trash. One Michigan Elector said on TV that he has received 60,000 emails. He then showed a laundry basket crammed with snail mail. They all want this Elector to vote for anyone but Trump. This Elector made it very clear that he is voting for Trump. Period. Even with the massive Democrat cheating in Detroit, the people of Michigan chose Trump. I have heard similar stories from other Republican Electors.

What do the sore losers hope to accomplish? In the nearly impossible chance that the House of Representatives has to decide who is President, it will be Trump. The Senate will make Mike Pence the Vice President. So?

Donald Trump was elected in a legal election. The whiners don't like that. They don't want a Democratic Republic. They want a dictatorship and they get to decide who the dictator is. They want another failure like Barack Obama.

Now the left wants to eliminate the Electoral College. Not because that's what best for America. They want to eliminate the Electoral College because their corrupt candidate lost. Which shows a massive misunderstanding of civics. They would be happy if California and New York selected the President and to hell with everyone else.

I suggest we keep the electoral votes for the states, but bag the electors. When each state certifies the vote, that's it. It is official. We will know the winner on election night or the next morning. All of the current voting rules would remain the same. Just no electors. Of course this would require a Constitutional Amendment, which is a difficult process that takes a lot of time. But hey - Republicans pretty much control the entire country now, so why not?

Then this stupid nonsense the left is trying to pull would never happen again.

The Big Tent Returns to the GOP

The Republican Party has once again become the party of the Big Tent. The GOP was once known for this. But in recent decades the Grand Old Party has narrowed down to mostly far-right conservatives.

In the 19th and early 20th centuries, the GOP included large business interests, laborers and blacks. The black vote was primarily due to abolition of slavery as well as civil rights, which were supported by Republicans and opposed by Democrats.

But as the 20th century wore on, Democrats began pandering to different groups of people, introducing Americans to identity politics. They told blacks what they wanted to hear, once they obtained suffrage, told women what they wanted to hear, and more recently began telling Hispanics what they wanted to hear. To top it off, Democrats created a media bias so the news was mostly slanted their way. Watergate was a great help in pushing that media bias.

Democrats didn't tell each group the same thing. They catered to each group, so they ended up with a montage of promises, some of which contradicted others.

History tells us that parties with Big Tents tend to win more elections. The Democrats have been crafting their Big Tent for nearly a century, but with the re-election of Barrack Obama in 2008 and the presumed victory of Hillary Clinton this year, it appeared the left was close to permanent control of the Oval Office.

But 2016 became the year the progressive train fell off the tracks. Hillary was a candidate with so many scandals in her closet, pushing her past the voters could be a tough sell. But the media slanted their coverage heavily in her favor, and as a bonus, the pollsters nearly all missed the mark.

Then to top it all off, Hillary was running against Donald Trump.

This was supposed to be an easy win for Hillary. After all, they had the election rigged. While Democrats have been suspected of cheating for years. Wikileaks and James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas videos proved to Americans that Democrats cheat, and how they did it. The working class in the industrial Midwest were paying attention. States that had been blue for the past several Presidential elections were turning red. Pollsters missed it and the media didn't tell you.

The left failed to recognize the significance of how Trump annihilated 16 Republican opponents, including several quality candidates. Then during the general campaign, Trump filled nearly every venue he spoke at, often with thousands of people in the audience. Hillary and Tim Kaine sometimes only drew a couple dozen people to their rallies. At first I dismissed this as not being meaningful in the big picture of the election. But the same pattern repeated week after week, month after month. Then I realized Trump was going to win.

With the media regurgitating what the left told them and pollsters too lazy to dig out the older new voters Trump brought out in the primaries, you were told not only would Hillary win, but she would win in a landslide.

Didn't happen.

Instead, Trump destroyed Hillary just like he eliminated all of the other Republicans. Even after the conventions, many well-known Republicans came out publicly against Trump. The GOP was cracking in half, while the Democrats would be as strong as ever with Hillary's victory.

Since the elections, most Republicans (and many Democrats) have rallied behind Trump, while the Democrat Party teeters on no longer being a national party. Those Republicans who came over to Trump, like Nikki Haley and Mitt Romney, have realized the Republican Party has changed. It's not just for uber-conservatives anymore. The Big Tent is coming back. The GOP is now for conservatives, centrists, Democrats, Blacks, Hispanics, Cubans and anyone else who can vote, while the Democrats have been whittled down to the elitists.

Those Republicans who cannot see the big picture, such as the Bushes and Newt Gingrich, better understand the changes, or they will be left behind.

Same Decision: Bush bad, Obama good

As Donald Trump toured the devastation in Louisiana to get a firsthand account of the incredible hardships the residents are having to go through, Barrack Obama played golf on Martha's Vineyard. Bad optics. Really bad optics.

Obama apologists were in the media today saying that a Presidential motorcade would be too disruptive to the ongoing relief efforts taking place there. Obama gets a pass.

Now let us turn back the clock to 2005. Hurricane Katrina has just destroyed the gulf coast.  George W. Bush, flying from someplace else to someplace else, flew over the ravaged area.   He did not land. A photograph went viral of him looking out a window of  Air Force One, looking back at New Orleans as he flew by. The left became completely unhinged. That uncaring, cold-hearted disconnected monster Bush just flew by without stopping! What a dispassionate, unsympathetic schmuck! Even an unknown senator from Illinois named Barrack Hussein Obama joined the chorus of criticism.

Bush later wrote in his book that had he suddenly dropped out of the sky and landed, local officials would have felt obligated to rush out to the airport to greet the President, and Bush felt a better use of those local officials' time was working with the citizens. Bush did admit he probably should have turned around and landed at Baton Rouge to see if he could find any state officials to work with.

But Bush took no end of grief for this, because his last name is Bush and there is an (R) behind his name.

When Obama used Bush's reasoning almost word for word, he is so wise and should not have his vacation cut short just because Milwaukee is burning and Louisiana was hit with possibly the worst modern storm without a name. After all, there is golf to be played, and how often does Obama get to do that?

The double standard is incredulous.

I will also note Hillary has yet to show up in Louisiana, while Trump was there today handing out relief packages to residents. So who is the leader here?

And before the Trump-haters who frequent this site get on my case, the choice is between Trump and Hillary, and I'm not picking Hillary.

I swear to God, if Hillary...

...was walking down the street during a rally and pulled a hand grenade out of her pantsuit, pulled the pin and lobbed it into a crowd and a dozen people are killed, Loretta Lynch would look the other way and say 'nothing to see here.' Why not? Hillary already has the blood of thousands on her corrupt little hands.

This woman can do NOTHING to get indicted by the Obama administration. I don't need to reset everything here. RedState readers are fully aware of the corruption, which has trickled down to the Department of Justice, the FBI, the State Department, the IRS and who knows where else. So now we learn the DOJ has declined the FBI's request to investigate the corrupt as hell Clinton Foundation. The only way they could make it more obvious is if they came out and said, 'Yes, we are corrupt and we're getting away with it'.

I blame the Republican majority in congress for doing NOTHING to stop this monster in the White House. Obama could have been impeached for any number of things, not the least of which is treason. Obama released POW's to the battlefield so they can kill Americans and our allies. The penalty for treason is death.

But since the congressional Republicans have sat on their hands, Obama sees a green light. He knows he will not be challenged, so the corruption gets worse and worse. And trust me, he's not done yet.

The mainstream media is a co-conspirator with House Republicans. I've been watching CNN lately, and their spin is beyond belief. No matter what Hillary says or does, CNN stays focused on what Trump said. DOJ refuses to investigate the Clinton Foundation, and they obsessively focus on Trump. The Donald says maybe 2nd Amendment supporters will be enough to keep Hillary out of the White House so she cannot appoint any Supreme Court Justices, and before you know it, Trump was endorsing violence and possible assassination!

Where in the hell did that come from? Seriously, where does that crap come from? Comprehension is a major part of journalism and communications, yet the media has no ability to understand words. For crying out loud, they blamed Sarah Palin for Gabby Giffords getting shot, because Palin had an image of a cross-hair in an ad. You can't make this stuff up.

I don't know if it's a mental health issue or what, but the wild claims coming from the left and their media buddies are preposterous.
