I don't understand the "immigrant strike"

I have been spending all day trying to figure out the so-called immigrant strike. When I first heard of it a couple days ago, I assumed illegal immigrants would not work today. But I found out this morning that ALL immigrants are supposed to strike today.

???

What the hell does that prove? Nothing. That's what it proves. Nothing.

A strike of illegal immigrants would demonstrate the problem. But instead, we have learned nothing.

President Trump is getting rid of illegal felons and gang-bangers. I wholeheartedly support this. But as a second generation American, I am angry with all of the line-jumpers who think our laws don't apply to them. My ancestors came here LEGALLY. My Grandfather came here from Denmark so he could join the U.S. Army and return to protect his defenseless homeland from Germany in World War I.

If I could, I would round up every last one of the illegals and kick them out. And put an alligator-filled moat next to the wall. But that would be impossible. But every time an illegal gets so much as a traffic stop, out they go. And no more illegals voting! Mayors and Governors who violate immigration laws should be arrested and thrown in the hole for awhile.

I know that sounds harsh, but that is how the swamp is drained. Liberals will continue to scream, cry and protest, but since they caused the problems in the first place, I don't care what they think.

Getting Impossible

More and more people are putting security cameras around their homes, including the front porch and door. Of course the problem with this is that it's becoming more difficult to steal packages from people's porches without being recorded on video. What is a package thief supposed to do?

I have tried putting a guard cat in front of my house, but all she does is go into the storm sewer and not come out for hours. Yeah, I could put a camera in front of my house, but that would be so common and practical. I really like using sound to do my work for me.

I think I will put motion sensors on the front of my house. Then, when motion is detected, the neighborhood will be blasted with 1,000 watts of 50 Cent with Crime Wave. Just to make sure the would-be thief gets the message, I will mix in some screams and gunshot sounds. I'll still have video/audio rolling, because watching it should be funny as hell.

You may ask, wouldn't it all go off when the package is delivered, or heaven forbid I get an actual guest, or the guard cat comes out of the storm sewer early? Yes, it will go off. But then again, my neighbor doesn't seem to give a crap whenever his car alarm goes off at all hours of the day and night.

This is going to be fun. My neighbors love me...

About that Gallatin Police shooting...

As you may recall, Laronda Sweatt sliced Sumner County deputy Gary Pickard with an ax last week. Pickard was accompanying four members of the housing authority to evict Sweatt from the public housing where she lived.

Several minutes after slicing Pickard (he required 20 stitches), she moved toward Gallatin police officer James Spray with the ax. Spray started stepping back and ordered her several times to stop and get on the ground. After eight seconds had passed and Sweatt kept moving toward him, Spray shot her graveyard dead. It was all on video. I have seen the complete, unedited for TV video.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation investigated the shooting. After reviewing their report, Sumner County District Attorney Ray Whitley said this morning Spray was cleared of any wrong-doing. The case is now officially closed.

TV replayed tonight comments Threatt's mother made the day of the shooting.

“Laronda was not violent unless you made her violent. She is bipolar, and they knew she was bipolar; they didn’t have to shoot her like that,” Ella Sweatt said.

“Yes, this could have been avoided. The housing project knew she was bipolar,” she added.

Well mom, it could have been avoided one of two ways:

1: Your daughter could not have sliced a law enforcement officer with an ax, then ignored orders from another law enforcement officer and kept moving aggressively against him. So if it was known Laronda was bipolar, that gives her license to chop up people with an ax?

2: Your daughter had two other weapons on her, including a sword. More knives and weapons were found in the apartment. If you really gave a damn about your daughter, mom, you would have kept those weapons away from her.
