I'm finished with the Nationwide Series or whatever they're calling it now

Memo to whoever thought is was a good idea to attach their name to NASCAR's second-tier series: I will never again watch your series. Not so long as there are Cup drivers and reigning Cup champions competing in this minor league series.

I'm sure someone in NASCAR told you this was an opportunity to attach your name to a series that had some of the biggest names in stock car racing for a fraction of the cost it would be to attach your name to the series where these drivers actually make their living. What they probably didn't tell you is that so many fans hate the series. Or more specifically, hate what NASCAR has done to the series.

Drivers may have told you they like it. The second-tier drivers like it because they can measure themselves against the best. The Cup drivers like it because, oh I don't know, they don't make enough money in Cup.

Now if you just wanted to promote yourself to drivers, no problem. But just note NASCAR has told fans to grab their ankles for this series. I don't know what they told you your return on investment will be for your money, but good luck with that.

Anyway, best wishes with your sponsorship. And remember, there was a reason why it was available.

If you need me for anything, I'll be watching races on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons.
