New Life for Hotel Soap

https://www.thrillist.com/travel/nation/hotel-bar-soap-clean-the-world-orlando-charity

Do you do anything with the little bars of soap you use in hotels? You probably leave them there. For some reason, the little bars of soap in our rooms wind up in our home. I'm talking about the unused bars that were not opened. They'll sit, unused, in one of our bathrooms forever, before they finally get tossed. It's not like there may not be any soap during our next trip. We pretty much stay exclusively at Marriott's, and I'm pretty sure we can have all the little bars of soap we want.

The link above is to an interesting article on Thrillist.com. It is about a gentleman who wondered the same thing about used hotel soap. Turns out it gets tossed in the trash. So this guy had an idea.

He collects the used soap, melts them down and creates new bars of soap. They are then sent to impoverished countries, where they are a big help in preventing disease. It's a good read. Check it out.
