Immigration Made Easy

The left insanely believes that comprehensive immigration reform will change things. It will not. It will not because any immigration bill that is passed will not be worth the paper it's written on unless our southern border is sealed first.

Of course Democrat/Socialists don't want the border sealed. They like the border situation just the way it is. They want, as a minimum, to allow non-citizens, including illegals, to vote. The other extreme is a pathway to citizenship. Either way, the left believes those illegals will be Democrat/Socialist voters for life, so no, they don't want the border secured.

Dream on.

The first thing we need to do is elect somebody President who is not a traitor to the United States.

Second, build Trump's wall. Not a fence, a wall. It should be opaque and deep. Then build an identical wall about thirty or so feet past it. Then put a moat between the walls. Fill the moat with alligators and do not feed them.

The border is secure.

Then do nothing. Keep things as they have been. It's really the best was to go. Illegal immigrants should not be rewarded for their criminal activity. My ancestors came here legally, Ellis Island and the whole bit, and as the grandson and great-grandson of legal immigrants I am offended that these line-cutters could gain voting rights or even citizenship.

They can continue to live in the shadows. Trump's deportation plan is silly and unworkable. They can stay, but if they ever have any interaction with any level of law enforcement at any time and are found out, they're gone. If they want to come back they'll need to get past the alligators.

Once that is established, do two things. Require employers to use e-verify for every hire. As a former payroll accountant, I can tell you there is almost no burden on employers. Thanks to these wonderful things known at computers, it's no problem to shoot a file over to the feds.

Then pass the Fair Tax. It is the most studied, most scrutinized tax plan in history. Every objection to the Fair Tax I have ever heard over the years demonstrated the objector's ignorance of the law and were easily rebutted. Besides incentivizing businesses to bring their money and jobs back home, it also means illegal immigrants will have to pay taxes every time they go to Walmart or the taco truck.

Democrat/Socialists want amnesty because they want new voters so Republicans will never win another election. Republicans want strict law and order. Neither is good for America. If there ever was an issue that cried out for compromise, it's this one.
